Spectators: 7566 (Terracing: 5716, Seating: 1750, VIP seats: 100) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Wes Daniels took the kick off in the first half of the match. FC broll's Wes Daniels got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Philipp Kerstens hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Bart van Hollebecke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wes Daniels in the 7th minute of play. A collision led to FC broll getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Roben Moerman hit a great ball. Willem Van Heerle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Jo De Mulder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lex Lanen in the 12th minute of play forced Franse Kunstenaars's goalkeeper Bart van Hollebecke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Franse Kunstenaars's Bart van Hollebecke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lex Lanen in the 14th minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, Wes Daniels was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC broll's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Franse Kunstenaars the free kick. Bart van Hollebecke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lex Lanen in the 17th minute of play. After having played for 19 minutes, Wes Daniels managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC broll's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wes Daniels was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Philipp Kerstens kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Franse Kunstenaars's goal looked a bit too open when Wes Daniels came free, but Bart van Hollebecke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bart van Hollebecke came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by FC broll's Wes Daniels. But to his dismay, Wes Daniels quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 30th minute, Christof Van Den Driessche reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jo De Mulder. The goal made the score 1-1. In the 33rd minute, Frank Verheijd hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Philipp Kerstens charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Philipp Kerstens the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Philipp Kerstens hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. After 36 played minutes, FC broll's Jerry de Wolf shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bart van Hollebecke came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC broll reached it. If Lex Lanen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC broll's Wes Daniels got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 44th match minute, Franse Kunstenaars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jon Helssens to maneuver through the defense. Wes Daniels took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bart van Hollebecke. Bart van Hollebecke dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3.

Willem Van Heerle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wes Daniels in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bart van Hollebecke saved Franse Kunstenaars from getting behind. Wes Daniels who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Bart van Hollebecke when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Bart van Hollebecke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wes Daniels, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lex Lanen got free with Bart van Hollebecke in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Lex Lanen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bart van Hollebecke. That made the score 1-4 in the 63 minute of play. The supporters of Franse Kunstenaars booed when FC broll was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kent Saelens didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Christof Van Den Driessche came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Franse Kunstenaars fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christof Van Den Driessche couldn't finish the play. Lex Lanen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bart van Hollebecke having to make a save. In the 73rd minute, Philipp Kerstens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Franse Kunstenaars's zone, Lex Lanen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bart van Hollebecke came out of the goal and Lex Lanen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wes Daniels might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bart van Hollebecke. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wes Daniels ran back to his position shaking his head. Lex Lanen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 87th minute of the match, Lex Lanen got a very nice opportunity to score, but Bart van Hollebecke was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Willem Van Heerle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute of the match, Wes Daniels tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bart van Hollebecke saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. FC broll's Lex Lanen got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 96 minutes into the game, Jacques Ceulemans was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC broll's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Franse Kunstenaars the free kick. Jacques Ceulemans kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Christof Van Den Driessche struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Jo De Mulder didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Franse Kunstenaars. After 98 minutes, Christof Van Den Driessche mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Franse Kunstenaars and the FC broll players grew even worse after the yellow card. Christof Van Den Driessche kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match.
