Spectators: 6737 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1737, VIP seats: 0) FC Fatmax's Ludo Van de Plas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jim Van Den Hout scored 1-0 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nicolaas Verelst, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Guillaume Limpens's late challenge caught a FC Fatmax's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guillaume Limpens helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to KAA Tongerlo getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Guillaume Limpens hit a great ball. Steff Ghesels, 39 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 42 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Fatmax! The goalkeeper, Nicolaas Verelst, was totally fooled by KAA Tongerlo's Steff Ghesels, who 44 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bernt Raeijmaeckers stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jim Van Den Hout fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolaas Verelst having to interfere. Ludo Van de Plas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Douglas Vandewalle read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Gert Van hoegaerde scored 2-1 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Douglas Vandewalle, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 70th minute Ludo Van de Plas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Douglas Vandewalle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Andries Goris hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gert Van hoegaerde came free with the goalkeeper in the 75th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Douglas Vandewalle could save by the left post. In the 80th minute Jim Van Den Hout shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolaas Verelst saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Douglas Vandewalle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ludo Van de Plas in the 81st minute of the match. If Gert Van hoegaerde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute, Ludo Van de Plas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Douglas Vandewalle. The goal made the score 2-2. Douglas Vandewalle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ludo Van de Plas in the 89th minute of play. After having played for 94 minutes, Bernt Raeijmaeckers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KAA Tongerlo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernt Raeijmaeckers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of KAA Tongerlo booed when FC Fatmax was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waut Oelaerts didn't get a good kick on the ball. KAA Tongerlo's Steff Ghesels couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 98th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for FC Fatmax. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
