Spectators: 6725 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Jannic Engelboorgs made the kick off which started today's match. In the 2nd minute, Mattijs Weijnants hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Jannic Engelboorgs sped through SC Givry's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gustaaf Hollants. Jannic Engelboorgs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Will Tombuer was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Stanny De Messemaekere. Octaaf Verstraeten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Will Tombuer having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Jef Neef fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Will Tombuer, passed just outside the right post. Will Tombuer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Octaaf Verstraeten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes into the game, Octaaf Verstraeten recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Will Tombuer. Octaaf Verstraeten showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. In the 36th minute, Jef Neef left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Givry fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Will Tombuer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octaaf Verstraeten, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Octaaf Verstraeten to make the kick off. If Jannic Engelboorgs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gustaaf Hollants made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jannic Engelboorgs in the 60th minute of play. After 63 played minutes FC Geselle City got a freekick which was hit by Alan Wijnants. After 69 played minutes SC Givry got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Versluys. The long shot by Kenney De Smedt in the 70th minute really tested Gustaaf Hollants's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Teun Jennes kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. A collision led to FC Geselle City getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Alan Wijnants hit a great ball. Stanny De Messemaekere was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 76th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After having played for 81 minutes, Jannic Engelboorgs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Geselle City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jannic Engelboorgs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jannic Engelboorgs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Will Tombuer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octaaf Verstraeten, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. SC Givry were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of FC Geselle City for a fine match.
