Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Martijn Cempenaers started the match with the kick off. Noel Goons sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Club Wetteren's Diedrik Engelbert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martijn Cempenaers in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th minute Emile Reniers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henri-Patrick Milters saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henri-Patrick Milters came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Wetteren's Yanis Van De Ven. But to his dismay, Yanis Van De Ven quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 17th minute Noel Goons shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diedrik Engelbert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Club Wetteren's zone, Martijn Cempenaers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diedrik Engelbert came out of the goal and Martijn Cempenaers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yanis Van De Ven received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Henri-Patrick Milters tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Fritt united's Erik-Jan Himschoot got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Diedrik Engelbert came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Fritt united's Noel Goons. But to his dismay, Noel Goons quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 39th minute, Noel Goons got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yanis Van De Ven got free with Henri-Patrick Milters in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Henri-Patrick Milters took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emile Reniers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Emile Reniers made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Fritt united getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Martijn Cempenaers hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yanis Van De Ven in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Henri-Patrick Milters prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Club Wetteren booed when Fritt united was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harry Teurfs didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Club Wetteren's Emile Reniers in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Fritt united's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yanis Van De Ven in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Henri-Patrick Milters saved Fritt united from getting behind. A collision led to Fritt united getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Yvan Vereyt hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Yanis Van De Ven managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Wetteren's supporters rose to their feet, but Yanis Van De Ven was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henri-Patrick Milters breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Henri-Patrick Milters made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yanis Van De Ven in the 70th minute of play. If Noel Goons had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martijn Cempenaers struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Diedrik Engelbert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fritt united. In the 78th minute of the match, Martijn Cempenaers tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Diedrik Engelbert saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Hector Mampaerts kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Noel Goons got free with Diedrik Engelbert in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. For all the effort they put into the match, the Fritt united players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Club Wetteren.
