With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sven den Pelsmaeker prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind KV Ertvelde's goalkeeper Sven den Pelsmaeker, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. KV Ertvelde's Sven den Pelsmaeker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andries Mangelschot in the 18th minute of play. Janes Helsen kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After 19 played minutes, YR Mechelen's Vincent Van Mechelen shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sven den Pelsmaeker came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in YR Mechelen reached it. 23 minutes into the match, KV Ertvelde's goal looked a bit too open when Andries Mangelschot came free, but Sven den Pelsmaeker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Andries Mangelschot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Through an outstanding action, after 28 minutes, Sven den Pelsmaeker successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Rômulo de Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Sven den Pelsmaeker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andries Van Mechelen came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by KV Ertvelde's Matteo Lauwers. But to his dismay, Matteo Lauwers quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 38th minute, Rômulo de Azevedo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sven den Pelsmaeker was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Rômulo de Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven den Pelsmaeker having to interfere.

The wind increased when Cesar Krabbe made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andries Mangelschot in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sven den Pelsmaeker prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Andries Mangelschot took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sven den Pelsmaeker. Sven den Pelsmaeker dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Andries Cantillon charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andries Cantillon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of YR Mechelen booed when KV Ertvelde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andries Cantillon didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andries Mangelschot in the 62nd minute of play forced KV Ertvelde's goalkeeper Sven den Pelsmaeker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andries Mangelschot might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sven den Pelsmaeker. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andries Mangelschot ran back to his position shaking his head. Andries Cantillon hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 66thth minute of the game Andries Mangelschot who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KV Ertvelde's Sven den Pelsmaeker was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 68 minutes into the match, YR Mechelen's goal looked a bit too open when Matteo Lauwers came free, but Andries Van Mechelen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andries Van Mechelen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matteo Lauwers in the 68th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, Matteo Lauwers dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Andries Van Mechelen, 3-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Andries Mangelschot managed to get in a good position for a shot. YR Mechelen's supporters rose to their feet, but Andries Mangelschot was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sven den Pelsmaeker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, KV Ertvelde's Nicky De Bruijn got a free kick in the 76th minute. 77 minutes into the match, YR Mechelen's Vincent Van Mechelen broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a rather tough play, KV Ertvelde's Matteo Lauwers got a free kick in the 79th minute. 79 minutes into the match, KV Ertvelde's goal looked a bit too open when Andries Mangelschot came free, but Sven den Pelsmaeker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 95 minutes of play, YR Mechelen's Andries Mangelschot made it 5-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sven den Pelsmaeker was left in no man's land by his defense there! YR Mechelen walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
