Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jilian Andriesens kicked off to start the match. In the 10th minute, Andy Uytdebroeck left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fc Oxford fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 15 minutes into the match, Fc Oxford's goal looked a bit too open when Jilian Andriesens came free, but Steffen Kortens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute, Yens Allaert got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jilian Andriesens was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 22nd minute. RSC Anderlecht's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Serge Van Linthoud took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kenney Stuckers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fc Oxford's Steffen Kortens proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Fc Oxford from getting a goal against them. Richard Van De Putts recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 33rd minute Jilian Andriesens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steffen Kortens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Serge Van Linthoud took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yens Allaert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jilian Andriesens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Richard Van De Putts's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Steffen Kortens read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. After 38 played minutes Fc Oxford got a freekick which was hit by Yens Allaert. Steffen Kortens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jilian Andriesens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Richard Van De Putts in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Steffen Kortens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Steffen Kortens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jilian Andriesens, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stephan Van Den Haecke made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Fc Oxford's Yens Allaert got a free kick in the 51st minute. Fc Oxford's Steffen Kortens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jilian Andriesens in the 52nd minute of play. When Jilian Andriesens came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the RSC Anderlecht fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jilian Andriesens couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Fc Oxford booed when RSC Anderlecht was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jilian Andriesens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Steffen Kortens stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jilian Andriesens's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Steffen Kortens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jilian Andriesens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Steffen Kortens didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Robbe Rondas went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Steffen Kortens stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jilian Andriesens's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Jilian Andriesens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. RSC Anderlecht's Richard Van De Putts got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Fc Oxford's Kenney Stuckers slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Serge Van Linthoud. That made the score 1-2 after 92 minutes of play. When RSC Anderlecht's Jilian Andriesens in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Fc Oxford's goalie prevented a goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Fc Oxford walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
