Henri-Patrick Milters was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cesar Krabbe showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 4 minute of play. After having played for 17 minutes, Martijn Cempenaers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fritt united's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martijn Cempenaers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cesar Krabbe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henri-Patrick Milters having to interfere. If Dan Klaes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dan Klaes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sven den Pelsmaeker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martijn Cempenaers in the 36th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Dan Klaes could shoot a difficult shot in the 43rd minute, which Henri-Patrick Milters however easily saved by the left post. Yvan Vereyt hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. A collision led to Fritt united getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Yanick Hagemans hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Noel Goons to make the kick off. If Yvan Vereyt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, KV Ertvelde's Sven den Pelsmaeker got control of the ball when Harry Teurfs tried to sneak it across the goal line. Henri-Patrick Milters showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cesar Krabbe in the 64th minute of the match. Sven den Pelsmaeker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noel Goons in the 67th minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, Fritt united's Noel Goons sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sven den Pelsmaeker narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 72 minutes into the match, Fritt united's goal looked a bit too open when Dan Klaes came free, but Henri-Patrick Milters reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. KV Ertvelde's Cesar Krabbe got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Yvan Vereyt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Noel Goons had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute, Yves Diericx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of KV Ertvelde booed when Fritt united was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Achilles Debecker didn't get a good kick on the ball.
