In the 4th minute, Bertrand Leemans fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When Thys Van Camp came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Sporting Lancer Evo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thys Van Camp couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Sporting Lancer Evo's Thys Van Camp got a free kick in the 12th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willem Verheijden in the 13th minute of play forced Sporting Lancer Evo's goalkeeper Wouter Decoster to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Sergio De Groot managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting Lancer Evo's supporters rose to their feet, but Sergio De Groot was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kristiaan van Goetsenhoven breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 22 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sporting Lancer Evo! Kristiaan van Goetsenhoven showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergio De Groot in the 27th minute of the match. In the 28th match minute, Sporting Lancer Evo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorne De Martelaere to maneuver through the defense. Wouter Decoster acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 29th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Stanny Tkint. 31 minutes into the match, Fighters Against Cancer's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio De Groot came free, but Kristiaan van Goetsenhoven reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The wind increased when Sergio De Groot made the kick off in the second half. Fransesco Ourogge hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. A well placed Sergio De Groot short distance shot in the 56th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. Sergio De Groot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristiaan van Goetsenhoven having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Sergio De Groot made a precise shot to the right of Kristiaan van Goetsenhoven. Fighters Against Cancer's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Willem Verheijden in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wouter Decoster prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fighters Against Cancer's Kristiaan van Goetsenhoven proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Fighters Against Cancer from getting a goal against them. Bertrand Leemans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wouter Decoster having to interfere. When the match clock showed 86 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Sergio De Groot sped through Fighters Against Cancer's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kristiaan van Goetsenhoven. If Thys Van Camp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tjorven Reiniers might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kristiaan van Goetsenhoven. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tjorven Reiniers ran back to his position shaking his head. After 97 played minutes Sergio De Groot rounded Fighters Against Cancer's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-4. Sporting Lancer Evo played a much better game than Fighters Against Cancer and deserved their victory. The Fighters Against Cancer players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
