When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Frederic Humbelets put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Bartjan Van de kauter. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Brent Bernaerts managed to get in a good position for a shot. De Salonsupporters's supporters rose to their feet, but Brent Bernaerts was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bartjan Van de kauter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 17th minute Jeremey Van Goolen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bartjan Van de kauter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18thth minute of the game Jeremey Van Goolen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Brugge KV's Bartjan Van de kauter was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arno Vercruysse could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Rafael Salms made a huge save. Bartjan Van de kauter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brent Bernaerts in the 21st minute of play. Club Brugge KV's Chris-George Justus was substituted for Stan De Custer. After 25 played minutes De Salonsupporters got a freekick which was hit by Frederic Humbelets. 29 minutes into the match, Club Brugge KV's goal looked a bit too open when Frederic Humbelets came free, but Bartjan Van de kauter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Club Brugge KV's Cederic Caes got a free kick in the 31st minute. The Club Brugge KV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bartjan Van de kauter should have stopped the shot. In the 36th match minute, Club Brugge KV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Willem De Keuster to maneuver through the defense. Saul Filipo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bartjan Van de kauter. Club Brugge KV's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. De Salonsupporters's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
