VC Fl's Bastiaan Sustens tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Tollembeek's Diego Walder got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tollembeek's Diego Walder managed to work through VC Fl's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Diego Walder dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Alek De Geyter scored 0-2 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bastiaan Sustens, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Ronny Stuycken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bastiaan Sustens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alek De Geyter in the 35th minute of the match. Alek De Geyter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bastiaan Sustens having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ronny Stuycken stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 88th minute Diego Walder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bastiaan Sustens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Diego Walder got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Diego Walder was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 95th minute. Tollembeek's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The VC Fl supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Tollembeek's performance. The match ended with a win for Tollembeek.
