Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Kai-Uwe Mierzwa kicked off to start the match. After having played for 10 minutes, Kai-Uwe Mierzwa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. But Anderlecht AC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kai-Uwe Mierzwa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lennart Van den Bossche hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 18th match minute, Club Brugge KV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lennart Van den Bossche to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute Kai-Uwe Mierzwa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bartjan Van de kauter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Willem De Keuster during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 31st minute, Willem De Keuster hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alex Weggers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brend Bourgignon hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Lennart Van den Bossche struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Corneel Reiniers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Brugge KV. After having played for 40 minutes, Arno Vercruysse managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Brugge KV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arno Vercruysse was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bartjan Van de kauter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kai-Uwe Mierzwa in the 43rd minute of play. When Louis-Philippe Kindt came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the But Anderlecht AC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Louis-Philippe Kindt couldn't finish the play.

The wind increased when Lennart Van den Bossche made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Club Brugge KV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Weggers to maneuver through the defense. Lennart Van den Bossche let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 55th minute shot 1-1 at rihgt post. In the 64thth minute of the game Kai-Uwe Mierzwa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Brugge KV's Bartjan Van de kauter was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Corneel Reiniers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arno Vercruysse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bartjan Van de kauter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kai-Uwe Mierzwa in the 68th minute of play. Kai-Uwe Mierzwa struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Bartjan Van de kauter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for But Anderlecht AC. If Kai-Uwe Mierzwa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Corneel Reiniers came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Club Brugge KV's Arno Vercruysse. But to his dismay, Arno Vercruysse quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. In the 84th minute of the match, Lennart Van den Bossche got a very nice opportunity to score, but Corneel Reiniers was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A collision led to But Anderlecht AC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Abdulmelik Yiğitkan hit a great ball. Lennart Van den Bossche scored 1-5 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Corneel Reiniers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 91st minute, Kai-Uwe Mierzwa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The But Anderlecht AC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-5. Abdulmelik Yiğitkan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Bartjan Van de kauter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Although But Anderlecht AC had been in control for most of the match, Club Brugge KV still came away with the win.
