Ief Laureys made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 28thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Maxime Smolders would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Timmy Coopmans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bastiaan Sustens having to interfere. Dylan Van Der Eyde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Giovanni Langendonckx hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Richmond Denturck in the 58th minute of play forced VC Fl's goalkeeper Bastiaan Sustens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bastiaan Sustens didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Timmy Coopmans went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 65th minute, Ronny Stuycken got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sander Bruyninckx kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Maxime Smolders showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronny Stuycken, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute.
