Robrecht Wirinckx kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. 33 minutes into the game, Edwin Luijten was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. De Karotte's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GoeBezig Vilvoorde the free kick. Edwin Luijten hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. When Greg De Wulf came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the GoeBezig Vilvoorde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Greg De Wulf couldn't finish the play. De Karotte's Nils Focquier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergio Vissenaeken in the 40th minute of play. Nick Wijnrijx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Nils Focquier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edwin Luijten was shown his second yellow card after 43 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Edwin Luijten kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Greg De Wulf recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sergio Vissenaeken received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Nils Focquier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sergio Vissenaeken stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the De Karotte defense, Greg De Wulf kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nils Focquier. The De Karotte fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nils Focquier should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, De Karotte's Dirk Marant got a free kick in the 57th minute. 58 minutes into the game, Greg De Wulf cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Nils Focquier was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 62 minutes into the match, De Karotte's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Vissenaeken came free, but Nils Focquier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Greg De Wulf managed to get in a good position for a shot. GoeBezig Vilvoorde's supporters rose to their feet, but Greg De Wulf was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nils Focquier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Greg De Wulf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nils Focquier having to interfere. The supporters of GoeBezig Vilvoorde booed when De Karotte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dirk Marant didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in De Karotte's zone, Sergio Vissenaeken stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nils Focquier came out of the goal and Sergio Vissenaeken tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dirk Marant fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Quentin De Keyser having to interfere. After a rather tough play, GoeBezig Vilvoorde's Florian Humblets got a free kick in the 83rd minute. 84 minutes into the match, GoeBezig Vilvoorde's goalkeeper Quentin De Keyser had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sander Weets. Sergio Vissenaeken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Babe N'Diaye kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Sergio Vissenaeken struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Nils Focquier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GoeBezig Vilvoorde. Sander Weets fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Quentin De Keyser having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Dirk Marant had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Quentin De Keyser. GoeBezig Vilvoorde's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dirk Marant was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. GoeBezig Vilvoorde were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of De Karotte for a fine match.
