Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ryan Shamp started the match with the kick off. Timy De Mesemacre made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elias Koenens in the 3rd minute. Xander-Paul Gallot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Timy De Mesemacre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Xander-Paul Gallot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timy De Mesemacre having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Dworp's Paulus De Keuster got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Oswald Clijsters scored 0-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Franck Van Haechten, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 37th minute of the match Gerard Dierickx shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Franck Van Haechten showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Xander-Paul Gallot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cederik Koppen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Franck Van Haechten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Xander-Paul Gallot stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Ryan Shamp managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Luys's supporters rose to their feet, but Ryan Shamp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Franck Van Haechten breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ryan Shamp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Timy De Mesemacre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xander-Paul Gallot in the 74th minute of play. A collision led to Dworp getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Andreas Van de Schrieck hit a great ball. The supporters of FC Luys booed when Dworp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andreas Van de Schrieck didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 84th minute, Bernd Smolders hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 85 minutes into the game, Xander-Paul Gallot cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Timy De Mesemacre was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Timy De Mesemacre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xander-Paul Gallot in the 92nd minute of play. George Haentjens charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed George Haentjens the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 96th minute Xander-Paul Gallot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timy De Mesemacre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
