The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Little Bunnies's goal looked a bit too open when Yves Van Dijcke came free, but Roger Leininger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nils Focquier didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bart-Jan Nilis went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yves Van Dijcke got free with Roger Leininger in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Bart-Jan Nilis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nils Focquier was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. After 15 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for De Karotte! In the 19th minute of the match, Dirk Marant tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Roger Leininger saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 23 minutes into the match, Little Bunnies's goal looked a bit too open when Dirk Marant came free, but Roger Leininger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alain Postens might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nils Focquier. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alain Postens ran back to his position shaking his head. Bart-Jan Nilis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute, one of Little Bunnies:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Little Bunnies. Little Bunnies:s Roger Leininger showed great skill when he stopped Babe N'Diaye:s penalty. After the first half Little Bunnies were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bart-Jan Nilis was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bart-Jan Nilis in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nils Focquier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bart-Jan Nilis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Samuel Van de Goor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nils Focquier having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bart-Jan Nilis in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nils Focquier saved De Karotte from getting behind. A collision led to De Karotte getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Tom Gobeleyns hit a great ball. 74 minutes into the game, Xander-Paul Le Page was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Little Bunnies's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave De Karotte the free kick. The supporters of De Karotte booed when Little Bunnies was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xander-Paul Le Page didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roger Leininger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sander Weets, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bart-Jan Nilis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nils Focquier having to interfere. Little Bunnies's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
