When Bob De Mijer fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GoeBezig Vilvoorde's protests and gave Bob De Mijer a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to GoeBezig Vilvoorde getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Bob De Mijer hit a great ball. Dirk Marant sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 29 played minutes De Karotte got a freekick which was hit by Yves Van Dijcke. GoeBezig Vilvoorde's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Sander Weetss short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Quentin De Keyser to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Dirk Marant's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Quentin De Keyser read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Nils Focquier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergio Vissenaeken in the 40th minute of the match. Sergio Vissenaeken struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Nils Focquier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GoeBezig Vilvoorde. GoeBezig Vilvoorde's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sergio Vissenaeken was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sergio Vissenaeken made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Dirk Marant managed to get in a good position for a shot. De Karotte's supporters rose to their feet, but Dirk Marant was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
