He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in GoeBezig Vilvoorde reached it. Matthew Switten charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Matthew Switten the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Matthew Switten hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Sergio Vissenaeken's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Timy De Mesemacre was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Bertrand Eekhout sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sergio Vissenaeken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timy De Mesemacre having to interfere. Quentin De Keyser showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ryan Shamp, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 30th minute, Sergio Vissenaeken got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Greg De Wulf recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sergio Vissenaeken struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Timy De Mesemacre didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GoeBezig Vilvoorde. Timy De Mesemacre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergio Vissenaeken in the 34th minute of play. Sergio Vissenaeken recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sergio Vissenaeken in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Timy De Mesemacre prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sergio Vissenaeken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Greg De Wulf fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GoeBezig Vilvoorde's protests and gave Greg De Wulf a yellow card for diving instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ryan Shamp made a kick off. A hard shot 51 in the game by Greg De Wulf from a close distance when the talented Timy De Mesemacre managed to make a qualified save. FC Luys's players were relieved. In the 56th minute, Greg De Wulf got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Greg De Wulf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timy De Mesemacre having to interfere. Ewout Dobbeleir took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Timy De Mesemacre. FC Luys's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of GoeBezig Vilvoorde booed when FC Luys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cederik Koppen didn't get a good kick on the ball. GoeBezig Vilvoorde's Ewout Dobbeleir shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 69th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Timy De Mesemacre but with some difficulty. Oswald Clijsters's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Quentin De Keyser read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Quentin De Keyser took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ryan Shamp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute, Oswald Clijsters got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nick Wijnrijx's late challenge caught a FC Luys's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nick Wijnrijx helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to GoeBezig Vilvoorde getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Nick Wijnrijx hit a great ball. Quentin De Keyser stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oswald Clijsters's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. In the 93rd minute, Florian Humblets hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ryan Shamp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. GoeBezig Vilvoorde's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
