With a little luck, Dworp's Franck Van Haechten got control of the ball when Yves Van Dijcke tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in De Karotte's zone, Xander-Paul Gallot stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nils Focquier came out of the goal and Xander-Paul Gallot tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elias Koenens made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 84thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Nils Focquier would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. In the 85th minute Sander Weets shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franck Van Haechten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute, Sander Weets left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The De Karotte fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. When Xander-Paul Gallot fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
