Spectators: 7947 (Terracing: 5961, Seating: 1828, VIP seats: 158) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Herald Baecke kicked off to start the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Luc Roscams managed to get in a good position for a shot. Impegem's supporters rose to their feet, but Luc Roscams was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Timy De Mesemacre breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Oswald Clijsters sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 8th minute of the match, Oswald Clijsters got a very nice opportunity to score, but Lennart Franckx was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Luc Roscams struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Timy De Mesemacre didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Impegem. 12 minutes into the match, Impegem's goalkeeper Lennart Franckx had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Oswald Clijsters. In the 14th minute Herald Baecke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timy De Mesemacre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, FC Luys's goal looked a bit too open when Luc Roscams came free, but Timy De Mesemacre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Timy De Mesemacre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luc Roscams, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Oswald Clijsters received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Lennart Franckx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Timy De Mesemacre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herald Baecke in the 42nd minute of play. In the 43rd minute Herald Baecke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timy De Mesemacre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 45 minutes, Ryan Shamp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Luys's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ryan Shamp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Ryan Shamp made the kick off in the second half. Lennart Franckx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ryan Shamp, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Luc Roscams sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oswald Clijsters kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. When Luc Roscams came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Impegem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luc Roscams couldn't finish the play. 71 minutes into the match, FC Luys's goal looked a bit too open when Herald Baecke came free, but Timy De Mesemacre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, FC Luys's Oswald Clijsters sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lennart Franckx narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 74thth minute of the game Oswald Clijsters who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Impegem's Lennart Franckx was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Impegem's Matthieu Vincx got a free kick in the 74th minute. Oswald Clijsters received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Lennart Franckx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Timy De Mesemacre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herald Baecke in the 81st minute of play. After 83 played minutes FC Luys got a freekick which was hit by Bernd Smolders. Luc Roscams recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luc Roscams's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Timy De Mesemacre read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
