When the match had been going on for 9 minutes, De Karotte's Babe N'Diaye got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Timy De Mesemacre. Timy De Mesemacre didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 12th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. Sander Weets fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timy De Mesemacre having to interfere. Cederik Koppen charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cederik Koppen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 20th minute, Cederik Koppen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 23 minutes into the match, Sander Weets notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of FC Luys's Timy De Mesemacre. Timy De Mesemacre was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sander Weets received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Timy De Mesemacre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, FC Luys's Oswald Clijsters sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nils Focquier narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oswald Clijsters made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sander Weets in the 55th minute of play forced FC Luys's goalkeeper Timy De Mesemacre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Luys's Timy De Mesemacre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sander Weets in the 58th minute of play. Nils Focquier made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Oswald Clijsters sent off a good shot on target. Timy De Mesemacre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sander Weets in the 62nd minute of play. If Sander Weets had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Dirk Marant managed to get in a good position for a shot. De Karotte's supporters rose to their feet, but Dirk Marant was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Timy De Mesemacre breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dirk Marant received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Timy De Mesemacre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd match minute, De Karotte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tuur Nilis to maneuver through the defense. 86 minutes into the match, De Karotte's Sander Weets sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Timy De Mesemacre narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 86 played minutes FC Luys got a freekick which was hit by Cederik Koppen. Sander Weets struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Timy De Mesemacre didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for De Karotte. Edwin Luijten's late challenge caught a FC Luys's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edwin Luijten helped the player get up and apologised. Edwin Luijten hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
