In the 15th minute Robrecht Schrevens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wesley De Wever saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wesley De Wever made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diedrik Vanpevenaeyge in the 17th minute. After taking down the ball on Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin's corner Gertjan Van Boxstael fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sebastien Goossens quite easily take care of the ball. When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Joonatan Ryers sped through Langemarks's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sebastien Goossens. Joonatan Ryers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastien Goossens having to interfere. Wesley De Wever showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robrecht Schrevens, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Wesley De Wever showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Goebelens in the 32nd minute of the match. Arthur-Maurits Winnepennincx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Wesley De Wever tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gertjan Van Boxstael to strike the kick off in the second half. Joonatan Ryers's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sebastien Goossens read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. When Ivan Van hoegaerde fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin's protests and gave Ivan Van hoegaerde a yellow card for diving instead. In the 68th minute Robrecht Schrevens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wesley De Wever saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Oliver Dejonckheere had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes into the game, Langemarks's Gustaaf Goebelens nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wesley De Wever made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Goebelens in the 77th minute of play forced Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin's goalkeeper Wesley De Wever to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin's Wesley De Wever played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diedrik Vanpevenaeyge in the 78th minute of play. Gustaaf Goebelens took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wesley De Wever. Wesley De Wever dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 84 minutes into the game, Langemarks's Gustaaf Goebelens nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wesley De Wever made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Ernst Herinckx kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
