Spectators: 7936 (Terracing: 5982, Seating: 1834, VIP seats: 120) 3 minutes into the game, Ernst Herinckx was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ac meloen the free kick. In the 3rd minute, Ernst Herinckx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 8 minutes into the game, Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin's Gertjan Van Boxstael nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Charl Lijsens made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gertjan Van Boxstael in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Charl Lijsens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Gertjan Van Boxstael's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Charl Lijsens was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. After 21st play minutes Gertjan Van Boxstael shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Charl Lijsens and just under the crossbar into goal. Charl Lijsens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gertjan Van Boxstael in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34th minute, Gertjan Van Boxstael left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Charl Lijsens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gertjan Van Boxstael, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the match, Ac meloen's goal looked a bit too open when Gertjan Van Boxstael came free, but Charl Lijsens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Ac meloen defense, Joonatan Ryers kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Charl Lijsens. The Ac meloen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Charl Lijsens should have stopped the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Giles Ceustermans to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Gertjan Van Boxstael got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Oliver Dejonckheere received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Charl Lijsens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gertjan Van Boxstael's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 55thth minute, Charl Lijsens skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ac meloen were furious when Philipp Manaers was red carded, 56 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The goalkeeper, Charl Lijsens, was totally fooled by Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin's Gertjan Van Boxstael, who 59 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Gertjan Van Boxstael received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Charl Lijsens came out and tried to block the shot, but Gertjan Van Boxstael slotted it home off the left post making it 0-8 in the 62nd minute. A collision led to Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Richy Van Aertvin hit a great ball. Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin's Wesley De Wever played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laurens De Coninck in the 68th minute of play. When Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin's Gertjan Van Boxstael in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ac meloen's goalie prevented a goal. Augustijn Jenken hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Gertjan Van Boxstael kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Charl Lijsens. That made the score 0-9 in the 73 minute of play. In the 76th match minute, Ac meloen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fred Knockaert to maneuver through the defense. When Gertjan Van Boxstael came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gertjan Van Boxstael couldn't finish the play. In the 83rd minute Gertjan Van Boxstael shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charl Lijsens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ac meloen's Robben Beekman got a free kick in the 87th minute. Charl Lijsens made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Gertjan Van Boxstael sent off a good shot on target. Charl Lijsens stood somewhat misplaced when Gertjan Van Boxstael came free in front of goal and shot 0-11 to the left of him in the 94 minute. Gertjan Van Boxstael had several of the Ac meloen's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 97 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-12 score and a disappointed Charl Lijsens as he didn't even see the shot coming. Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
