Tibau Van dooren's late challenge caught a Ac meloen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tibau Van dooren helped the player get up and apologised. In the 24th match minute, Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tibau Van dooren to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Ac meloen's zone, Gertjan Van Boxstael stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Charl Lijsens came out of the goal and Gertjan Van Boxstael tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gertjan Van Boxstaels short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Charl Lijsens to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Andris Van Elsen hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Ac meloen's Charl Lijsens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oliver Dejonckheere in the 32nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Gertjan Van Boxstael's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Charl Lijsens was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. If Oliver Dejonckheere had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Ac meloen's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Oliver Dejonckheere fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Giles Ceustermans made a kick off. Gertjan Van Boxstael took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Charl Lijsens. Charl Lijsens dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Oliver Dejonckheere recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 62ndth minute of the game Gertjan Van Boxstael who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ac meloen's Charl Lijsens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Gertjan Van Boxstael notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Ac meloen's Charl Lijsens. Charl Lijsens was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Robben Beekman kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, Ernst Herinckx had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Charl Lijsens. Ac meloen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ernst Herinckx was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling David Smedts in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Charl Lijsens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 90 minutes into the match, Gertjan Van Boxstael notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Ac meloen's Charl Lijsens. Charl Lijsens was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gertjan Van Boxstael sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute, Tibau Van dooren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Charl Lijsens was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0.
