Yoeri Koppens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Vermeulen having to interfere. When Timy Huijgens came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the KSV Jabbeke fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Timy Huijgens couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 9 in the game by Christiaan Walder from a close distance when the talented Ewout Laureys managed to make a qualified save. KSV Jabbeke's players were relieved. Ernest Heirremans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Ewout Laureys tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 15 played minutes SC Montzen got a freekick which was hit by Boris Simons. KSV Jabbeke's Gert De Meur got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Christiaan Walder recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ernest Heirremans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute Yoeri Koppens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Vermeulen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Boris Simons was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 29 minutes had been played. Boris Simons kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Yoeri Koppens struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Antonio Vermeulen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KSV Jabbeke. The supporters of KSV Jabbeke booed when SC Montzen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teun Van Hemel didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Yoeri Koppens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Thobias Leers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Antonio Vermeulen made a huge save. Teun Van Hemel's late challenge caught a KSV Jabbeke's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teun Van Hemel helped the player get up and apologised. Teun Van Hemel kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Antonio Vermeulen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timy Huijgens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Timy Huijgens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Antonio Vermeulen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Timy Huijgens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Montzen's Antonio Vermeulen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timy Huijgens in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th minute Timy Huijgens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Vermeulen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 93 minutes into the game, KSV Jabbeke's Yoeri Koppens nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Antonio Vermeulen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1.
