In the 17thth minute of the game Nestor Hombroeckx who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Montzen's Antonio Vermeulen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Axel Stoffels sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of LeRoeulx booed when SC Montzen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christiaan Walder didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sebastien Michiels fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Vermeulen having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Nestor Hombroeckx's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antonio Vermeulen was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Michael Roussel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Antonio Vermeulen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Axel Stoffels made a kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Nestor Hombroeckx could shoot a difficult shot in the 52nd minute, which Antonio Vermeulen however easily saved by the left post. Antonio Vermeulen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sammy Waeberghe, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. The throw-in from Teun Volle in the 61st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by SC Montzen's Thomas Neef. If Thomas Neef had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Montzen's goalkeeper Antonio Vermeulen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
