The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 played minutes Sporting Mambo got a freekick which was hit by Francis Van De Putts. Kamiel Docx could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Lucien Scheerens made a huge save. Stein Goos didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Sporting Mambo's Lennart De Clercq shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Sporting Mambo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 14th minute, when Kamiel Docx scored to the left of an out of position Lucien Scheerens, making the score, 1-1. In the 17th minute, Kamiel Docx ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lucien Scheerens was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 19th match minute, Sporting Mambo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raf Van Gertsuyden to maneuver through the defense. 23 minutes into the match, Sporting Mambo's goal looked a bit too open when Sven Wollans came free, but Lucien Scheerens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stein Goos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lennart De Clercq in the 25th minute of play. Oscar De Worteleer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stein Goos having to interfere. If Kamiel Docx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Sporting Mambo's Lucien Scheerens got control of the ball when Dave Rockloos tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The wind increased when Lennart De Clercq made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Sporting Mambo's goal looked a bit too open when Dave Rockloos came free, but Lucien Scheerens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucien Scheerens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remie Van Halbeeck in the 60th minute of the match. Lucien Scheerens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kamiel Docx in the 62nd minute of play. In the 64th minute Renaud Hagemans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucien Scheerens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 69 minutes into the game, Kamiel Docx cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-1. Lucien Scheerens was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 74 minutes in the game Lucas Van Clijnebreugel did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Pieter-Maarten De Weijgaert. After 75 minutes, Sven Wollans mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Waterhoek and the Sporting Mambo players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lennart De Clercq in the 92nd minute of play forced Waterhoek's goalkeeper Stein Goos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Kamiel Docx had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lucien Scheerens. Sporting Mambo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kamiel Docx was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-1. Waterhoek's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
