The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Amedeo Vettori received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Joey Scheppers came out and tried to block the shot, but Amedeo Vettori slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 4th minute. With a little luck, Jonas en de Walvis II's Joey Scheppers got control of the ball when Marc Klinkenberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Tri Owe FC booed when Jonas en de Walvis II was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fred De Weijngaerden didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonas en de Walvis II's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Marc Klinkenberg scored to the left of an out of position Joey Scheppers, making the score, 2-0. After 33 minutes of play, Tri Owe FC's Amedeo Vettori made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joey Scheppers was left in no man's land by his defense there! Amedeo Vettori sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 39 minutes of play Jonas en de Walvis II's Fred De Weijngaerden was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Fred De Weijngaerden kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. When Niel De Vos fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jonas en de Walvis II's protests and gave Niel De Vos a yellow card for diving instead. After 41 played minutes Jonas en de Walvis II got a freekick which was hit by Niel De Vos. After recieving a nice pass, Tri Owe FC's Piet De Putter tried to score from far away in the 42nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. A collision led to Jonas en de Walvis II getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Niel De Vos hit a great ball. A hard shot 48 in the game by Marc Klinkenberg from a close distance when the talented Joey Scheppers managed to make a qualified save. Jonas en de Walvis II's players were relieved. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Pino Standaerts kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Amedeo Vettori fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joey Scheppers having to interfere. Marc Klinkenberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joey Scheppers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amedeo Vettori in the 59th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Tri Owe FC's Felix de Pelsmacker got a free kick in the 65th minute. Tristan Vinck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Willem-Jan Dobbeleir, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Marc Klinkenberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 68 minutes into the match, Jonas en de Walvis II's goal looked a bit too open when Marc Klinkenberg came free, but Joey Scheppers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joey Scheppers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marc Klinkenberg in the 70th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Jonas en de Walvis II's Niel De Vos got a free kick in the 77th minute. After 82 played minutes Tri Owe FC got a freekick which was hit by Owen Vinck. In the 88th minute of the match Jonas en de Walvis II got a corner. Tri Owe FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ernst Everaerts ran over to the corner to take the kick. Reinard Sustens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Diederick Van Parijs scored 5-0 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joey Scheppers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Tri Owe FC had won after a very even match.
