After 3 played minutes Jonas en de Walvis II got a freekick which was hit by Alex Renotte. In the 7th minute, Boudewijn Dewinter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Remco Huysmans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Chelsea defense, Yanniek Roeland kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rens Van Damme. The Chelsea fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rens Van Damme should have stopped the shot. 16 minutes into the match, Chelsea's goal looked a bit too open when Remco Huysmans came free, but Rens Van Damme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, Jonas en de Walvis II's Yanniek Roeland nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rens Van Damme made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Jonas en de Walvis II's Remco Huysmans got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yanniek Roeland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Remco Huysmans's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rens Van Damme was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Stan Smeulders received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Joey Scheppers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rens Van Damme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remco Huysmans in the 28th minute of play. The supporters of Chelsea booed when Jonas en de Walvis II was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Renotte didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Jonas en de Walvis II's zone, Boudewijn Dewinter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joey Scheppers came out of the goal and Boudewijn Dewinter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 34th minute, Didier Demeester hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yanniek Roeland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rens Van Damme having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yanniek Roeland in the 40th minute of play forced Chelsea's goalkeeper Rens Van Damme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute of the match Willem-Jan Dobbeleir sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rens Van Damme skillfully saved the ball.

55 minutes into the match, Chelsea's goal looked a bit too open when Yanniek Roeland came free, but Rens Van Damme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rens Van Damme didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 58th minute, which inside left pole to 0-4. After a defensive mix-up in Jonas en de Walvis II's zone, Boudewijn Dewinter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joey Scheppers came out of the goal and Boudewijn Dewinter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 65thth minute of the game Boudewijn Dewinter who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jonas en de Walvis II's Joey Scheppers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Yanniek Roeland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rens Van Damme having to interfere. Remco Huysmans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Rens Van Damme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Philip van Hagenborgh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yanniek Roeland was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 71st minute. Jonas en de Walvis II's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Remco Huysmans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chelsea's Rens Van Damme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yanniek Roeland in the 74th minute of play. Stan Smeulders received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Joey Scheppers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Ief Verhaghen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rens Van Damme made an important save on a dangerous shot by Remco Huysmans in the 88th minute. Rens Van Damme was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Willem-Jan Dobbeleir. When Yanniek Roeland came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Jonas en de Walvis II fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yanniek Roeland couldn't finish the play. When the match was over Jonas en de Walvis II could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Chelsea throughout the match.
