Bobby Van Eijcke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Sylven De Coster tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fred Van Der Veecken's late challenge caught a V.D.B. Foundation's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fred Van Der Veecken helped the player get up and apologised. Sammy Van Hoyveldt hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bobby Van Eijcke in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sylven De Coster saved Schaerbeek F.C from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Ivan Cox's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sylven De Coster was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Luka Lanphant hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. A collision led to V.D.B. Foundation getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Tristan Mangelschot hit a great ball. 15 minutes into the match, V.D.B. Foundation's goal looked a bit too open when Maarten Daniels came free, but Tibaut Elssen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Steve Ourogge's late challenge caught a V.D.B. Foundation's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Steve Ourogge helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Schaerbeek F.C's Steve Ourogge got a free kick in the 16th minute. A collision led to V.D.B. Foundation getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Yoeri deconinck hit a great ball. In the 21stth minute of the game Ivan Cox who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Schaerbeek F.C's Sylven De Coster was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. During the 23rd minute of the match Fred Van Der Veecken completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Fred Van Der Veecken a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 25 played minutes Schaerbeek F.C got a freekick which was hit by Fred Van Der Veecken. In the 26th match minute, Schaerbeek F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gill Van Hoovelt to maneuver through the defense. When Bobby Van Eijcke came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the V.D.B. Foundation fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bobby Van Eijcke couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rudy Van Eijcken in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sylven De Coster prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pieter-Maarten Herinckx succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 33rd playminute. After 38 minutes, Rudy Van Eijcken mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the V.D.B. Foundation and the Schaerbeek F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind V.D.B. Foundation's goalkeeper Tibaut Elssen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 41st match minute, Schaerbeek F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maarten Daniels to maneuver through the defense. When Gill Van Hoovelt was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 43 minutes had been played. In the 43rd minute, Gill Van Hoovelt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. V.D.B. Foundation's Rudy Van Eijcken suffered a concussion in the 47th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. When Maarten Daniels fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Schaerbeek F.C's protests and gave Maarten Daniels a yellow card for diving instead. Maarten Daniels hit a great freekick 49 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ivan Cox was the one to do the kick off. Ivan Cox received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Sylven De Coster tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Bobby Van Eijcke could shoot a difficult shot in the 58th minute, which Sylven De Coster however easily saved by the left post. Augustijn Uijterhoven scored 1-2 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sylven De Coster, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sylven De Coster made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bobby Van Eijcke in the 68th minute. Pieter-Maarten Herinckx kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Augustijn Uijterhoven in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sylven De Coster saved Schaerbeek F.C from getting behind. The supporters of V.D.B. Foundation booed when Schaerbeek F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maarten Daniels didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th match minute, Schaerbeek F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pieter-Maarten Herinckx to maneuver through the defense. If Augustijn Uijterhoven had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Schaerbeek F.C's Maarten Daniels got his second yellow card of the match in the 86th minute. The referee ordered Maarten Daniels off the ground. Maarten Daniels hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Schaerbeek F.C's zone, Yoeri deconinck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sylven De Coster came out of the goal and Yoeri deconinck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 90 minutes into the game, Geert Van den Sande recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sylven De Coster. Geert Van den Sande showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Ivan Cox's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sylven De Coster read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. After having played for 98 minutes, Geert Van den Sande managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. V.D.B. Foundation's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geert Van den Sande was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. V.D.B. Foundation played a much better game than Schaerbeek F.C and deserved their victory. The Schaerbeek F.C players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
