After having played for 18 minutes, Nicolaas Van Den Abeele managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kermt's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicolaas Van Den Abeele was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Martijn Smet during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to comeback getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Martijn Smet hit a great ball. If Matijs Cox had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gino Van Haeght showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matijs Cox, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matijs Cox in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gino Van Haeght prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

After a rather tough play, comeback's Martijn Smet got a free kick in the 55th minute. In the 56th minute Nicolaas Van Den Abeele shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gino Van Haeght saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicolaas Van Den Abeele sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the game, Antonio Blocks was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kermt's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave comeback the free kick. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matijs Cox couldn't finish the play. comeback's Gino Van Haeght played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolaas Van Den Abeele in the 76th minute of play. When Erik Tuytgans came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the comeback fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erik Tuytgans couldn't finish the play. Gino Van Haeght stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicolaas Van Den Abeele's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Matijs Cox who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Gino Van Haeght when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 90thth minute of the game Nicolaas Van Den Abeele who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but comeback's Gino Van Haeght was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gino Van Haeght made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolaas Van Den Abeele in the 92nd minute of play. Matijs Cox fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gino Van Haeght having to interfere.
