The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the game, VC Boshoven's Mattijs Moons nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Steffen Verhaeghen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 8 minutes into the match, Kasper Dechamps notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of FuglyMugs's Steffen Verhaeghen. Steffen Verhaeghen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Erwin-Alexander Peeters scored 0-3 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Steffen Verhaeghen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Steffen Verhaeghen came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by VC Boshoven's Gregorie De Haes. But to his dismay, Gregorie De Haes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Jacob Van De Velden managed to get in a good position for a shot. FuglyMugs's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacob Van De Velden was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dyllen Vermeesch breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Claus Pauwels sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FuglyMugs's Steffen Verhaeghen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kasper Dechamps in the 29th minute of play. After 31 minutes of play, VC Boshoven's Erwin-Alexander Peeters made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Steffen Verhaeghen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dyllen Campens could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Dyllen Vermeesch made a huge save. In the 41st minute, Gregorie De Haes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jacob Van De Velden struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Dyllen Vermeesch didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FuglyMugs. Dyllen Vermeesch made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Jacob Van De Velden sent off a good shot on target. In the 48th match minute, VC Boshoven was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kasper Dechamps to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The supporters of VC Boshoven booed when FuglyMugs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeremie De Block didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FuglyMugs's zone, Werner Serneels stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Steffen Verhaeghen came out of the goal and Werner Serneels tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gregorie De Haes in the 59thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Steffen Verhaeghen, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. FuglyMugs's Steffen Verhaeghen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kasper Dechamps in the 61st minute of play. Claus Pauwels fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dyllen Vermeesch having to interfere. In the 64th match minute, VC Boshoven was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Werner Serneels to maneuver through the defense. Steffen Verhaeghen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mattijs Moons in the 67th minute of the match. Kobe De Putter charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kobe De Putter the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Kobe De Putter kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Claus Pauwels managed to get in a good position for a shot. FuglyMugs's supporters rose to their feet, but Claus Pauwels was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The referee felt a red card was in order, 73 minutes into the game, when Kasper Dechamps put in a rough tackle. 73 minutes into the game, one of VC Boshoven:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jacob Van De Velden's late challenge caught a VC Boshoven's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jacob Van De Velden helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of VC Boshoven booed when FuglyMugs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kobe De Putter's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Steffen Verhaeghen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. A hard shot 90 in the game by Mattijs Moons from a close distance when the talented Steffen Verhaeghen managed to make a qualified save. FuglyMugs's players were relieved. Steffen Verhaeghen made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Gregorie De Haes sent off a good shot on target. Kent De Marrez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erwin-Alexander Peeters fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steffen Verhaeghen having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gregorie De Haes got free with Steffen Verhaeghen in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Gregorie De Haes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Steffen Verhaeghen. That made the score 1-7 in the 99 minute of play. When the match was over VC Boshoven could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FuglyMugs throughout the match.
