In the 7th match minute, KAA Vissenaken was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bass Van Beetz to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the RSCA U21 defense, Ronny Vermeiren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Michael Leers. The RSCA U21 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Michael Leers should have stopped the shot. Robrecht Simons's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 23rdth minute, Francis Kerckmans skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some careless play in the KAA Vissenaken defense, Robrecht Simons kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Francis Kerckmans. The KAA Vissenaken fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Francis Kerckmans should have stopped the shot. When RSCA U21's Tuur Van Clynenbreugel in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye KAA Vissenaken's goalie prevented a goal. After 41 minutes, Robrecht Simons made it 3-2 with a short kick to the right side. KAA Vissenaken's Francis Kerckmans tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 45 minutes into the match, RSCA U21's goal looked a bit too open when Tommy Van Huele came free, but Michael Leers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

Kenney Hellemons fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francis Kerckmans having to interfere. 56 minutes into the game, RSCA U21's Kenney Hellemons nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Francis Kerckmans made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. In the 61st minute Ronny Vermeiren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michael Leers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tuur Van Clynenbreugel in the 62nd minute of play forced KAA Vissenaken's goalkeeper Francis Kerckmans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Corneel Huveneers kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. After 67 minutes, Jannes Valcke mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RSCA U21 and the KAA Vissenaken players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tommy Van Huele got free with Michael Leers in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, RSCA U21's Gregory Maenhout got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the 90th minute, KAA Vissenaken's Ronny Vermeiren ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Michael Leers. Michael Leers yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-4. In the 95th minute, Tommy Van Huele made a precise shot to the right of Michael Leers. RSCA U21's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-5.
