Thibaud Camps didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jeroen Weygaers went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pierre-Paul Van Cleynenbreugel got free with Stein Spoelberch in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Pieter Van Landewijck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the game, Club Brugge's Jeroen Weygaers nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thibaud Camps made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. A collision led to Ruddervoorde getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Filip Van de Gaer hit a great ball. Thibaud Camps showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abraham Opdebeeck in the 26th minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Brent Nelleboedske made a precise shot to the right of Thibaud Camps. Ruddervoorde's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Abraham Opdebeeck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Thibaud Camps tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abraham Opdebeeck in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thibaud Camps prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Abraham Opdebeeck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Filip Van de Gaer made a kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Robin Rauvoets was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ruddervoorde's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Brugge the free kick. The supporters of Club Brugge booed when Ruddervoorde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robin Rauvoets didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ruddervoorde's Thibaud Camps played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeroen Weygaers in the 58th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Club Brugge's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Lyens came free, but Stein Spoelberch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Jan-Simon Elsen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thibaud Camps was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. With his leg Thibaud Camps managed to avoid a goal in the 82ndth minute, when Club Brugge's Jan-Simon Elsen fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Stein Spoelberch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filip Van de Gaer in the 83rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pierre-Paul Van Cleynenbreugel during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 87 played minutes Ruddervoorde got a freekick which was hit by Pierre-Paul Van Cleynenbreugel. Jan-Simon Elsen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Thibaud Camps having to make a save. After having played for 90 minutes, Pierre-Paul Van Cleynenbreugel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ruddervoorde's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pierre-Paul Van Cleynenbreugel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 92 minutes into the match, Ruddervoorde's goal looked a bit too open when Jeroen Weygaers came free, but Thibaud Camps reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the last second Thibaud Camps throw himself and got hold of the ball when Jeroen Weygaers in the 93rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Henri Erle scored 0-9 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thibaud Camps, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
