After a rather tough play, KAA Vissenaken's Corneel Huveneers got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Robrecht Simons fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francis Kerckmans having to interfere. Robrecht Simons struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Francis Kerckmans didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RSCA U21. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robrecht Simons in the 13th minute of play forced KAA Vissenaken's goalkeeper Francis Kerckmans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 13 played minutes KAA Vissenaken got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Lissens. Michael Leers was a little too slow when Ronny Vermeiren got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 18th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 21st minute, KAA Vissenaken's Tommy Van Huele dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Alexander Stercks's late challenge caught a RSCA U21's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexander Stercks helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of RSCA U21 booed when KAA Vissenaken was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Stercks didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Alexander Stercks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Michael Leers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tommy Van Huele in the 34th minute. Corneel Huveneers charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Corneel Huveneers the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 41st match minute, KAA Vissenaken was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Corneel Huveneers to maneuver through the defense. RSCA U21's Michael Leers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronny Vermeiren in the 46th minute of play. If Tommy Van Huele had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ronny Vermeiren to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, RSCA U21's goal looked a bit too open when Ronny Vermeiren came free, but Michael Leers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 54 minutes into the match, Tommy Van Huele notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of RSCA U21's Michael Leers. Michael Leers was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cederik Van Der Meren hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Michael Leers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tommy Van Huele in the 60th minute of play. A collision led to RSCA U21 getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Levi Haentjens hit a great ball. Tommy Van Huele took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 66th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Michael Leers. RSCA U21's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jonathan Lissens hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 77th minute, Ronny Vermeiren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KAA Vissenaken fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. In the 81st match minute, RSCA U21 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jannes Valcke to maneuver through the defense. Michael Leers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tommy Van Huele in the 82nd minute of play. Michael Leers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tommy Van Huele, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 87th minute, Ronny Vermeiren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Michael Leers was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Francis Kerckmans stood somewhat misplaced when Robrecht Simons came free in front of goal and shot 5-1 to the left of him in the 93 minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. KAA Vissenaken had played much better football throughout.
