In the 11th minute of the match Kobe De Putter sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Francis Kerckmans skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mattijs Moons in the 12th minute of play forced KAA Vissenaken's goalkeeper Francis Kerckmans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of KAA Vissenaken booed when VC Boshoven was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kasper Dechamps didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kasper Dechamps in the 15th minute of play forced KAA Vissenaken's goalkeeper Francis Kerckmans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Francis Kerckmans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gregorie De Haes in the 20th minute of the match. If Gregorie De Haes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Francis Kerckmans made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Gregorie De Haes sent off a good shot on target. When KAA Vissenaken's Alexander Stercks in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 76th minute, Jonathan Selleslags hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to KAA Vissenaken getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Alexander Stercks hit a great ball. If Gregorie De Haes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute Mattijs Moons shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francis Kerckmans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erwin-Alexander Peeters sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Werner Serneels hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. VC Boshoven's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
