After a rather tough play, KV Wanzele's Herbert Bernaerts got a free kick in the 11th minute. 18 minutes into the game, Laurend Spoelbergh was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KV Wanzele's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Minion Mim the free kick. The supporters of Minion Mim booed when KV Wanzele was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laurend Spoelbergh didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Peter Roofhoof in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bob Boegaert prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gerrit Cappels showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laurend Spoelbergh in the 23rd minute of the match. When Conrad Kerckmans fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KV Wanzele's protests and gave Conrad Kerckmans a yellow card for diving instead. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Peter Roofhoof made a kick off. Paul Rix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gerrit Cappels came out of the goal and Oswald Van Caels tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Peter Roofhoof managed to get in a good position for a shot. Minion Mim's supporters rose to their feet, but Peter Roofhoof was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bob Boegaert breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
