Standaard Meerbeek's Ataol Ayalp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frederick Gallot in the 53rd minute of play. Frederick Gallot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ataol Ayalp having to interfere. The supporters of Standaard Meerbeek booed when Rema United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daan Claevers didn't get a good kick on the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Standaard Meerbeek's Jens De Messemaeckre sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bastian Andriesens narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
