Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Standaard Meerbeek's Jens De Messemaeckre started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 11th minute Natan Engels shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ataol Ayalp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jens De Messemaeckre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilian Van Eijken having to interfere. Julius Huijberechts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ataol Ayalp having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Standaard Meerbeek's Steve Van Steen got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Natan Engels blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ataol Ayalp having to make a save. Gilian Van Eijken didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Johan De Metser went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Charly Cuelens hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After having played for 44 minutes, Natan Engels managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kon.Bresvlim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Natan Engels was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Harald Cantillon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kon.Bresvlim's supporters rose to their feet, but Harald Cantillon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ataol Ayalp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Harald Cantillon to make the kick off. After 54 played minutes Kon.Bresvlim got a freekick which was hit by Joachim Rosseels. In the 58th minute, Charly Cuelens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th play minute Kent Mortier came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Gilian Van Eijken. 0-2. Ataol Ayalp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harald Cantillon in the 67th minute of the match. Standaard Meerbeek's Ataol Ayalp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natan Engels in the 68th minute of play. Ataol Ayalp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harald Cantillon in the 69th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Harald Cantillon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ataol Ayalp was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Ataol Ayalp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natan Engels, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Standaard Meerbeek's goalkeeper Ataol Ayalp, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ataol Ayalp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harald Cantillon, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Johan De Metser kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. The supporters of Kon.Bresvlim booed when Standaard Meerbeek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ken Stessel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ataol Ayalp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harald Cantillon in the 95th minute of play. The Kon.Bresvlim manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Standaard Meerbeek to win.
