Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jochen Loremans in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ataol Ayalp prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ataol Ayalp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jochen Loremans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ken Stessel hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Ken Stessel helped the player get up and apologised.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jens De Messemaeckre to make the kick off. The supporters of Standaard Meerbeek booed when Nerazzurri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jochen Loremans didn't get a good kick on the ball.
