Dany Loremans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noel Lefebre in the 5th minute of play. Timoteo Tino kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. When Timoteo Tino came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Koekelare MFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Timoteo Tino couldn't finish the play. Johan van Elderen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Martin Valckx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Lucien Gyselincx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dany Loremans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johan van Elderen, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yoachim De Maerschalck in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dany Loremans saved Koekelare MFC from getting behind. Lucien Gyselincx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timoteo Tino in the 25th minute of play. Dany Loremans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yoachim De Maerschalck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st match minute, Koekelare MFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timoteo Tino to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Martin Valckx managed to get in a good position for a shot. Koekelare MFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Martin Valckx was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucien Gyselincx breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 38 minutes into the match, racing mechelen's Yoachim De Maerschalck sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dany Loremans narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Yoachim De Maerschalck might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dany Loremans. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yoachim De Maerschalck ran back to his position shaking his head. Johan van Elderen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Dany Loremans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Timoteo Tino took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lucien Gyselincx. Lucien Gyselincx dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 54 minutes into the game, Noel Lefebre was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. racing mechelen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Koekelare MFC the free kick. After 55 played minutes racing mechelen got a freekick which was hit by Noel Lefebre. Martin Valckx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucien Gyselincx having to interfere. Lucien Gyselincx came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Koekelare MFC's Martin Valckx. But to his dismay, Martin Valckx quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Timoteo Tino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Lucien Gyselincx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Yoachim De Maerschalck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 72nd minute Noel Lefebre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dany Loremans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes had been played when some careless play by Koekelare MFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Niels Jennis was slow to take the kick. During this time racing mechelen's players had a chance to rest. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yoachim De Maerschalck during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 76 played minutes racing mechelen got a freekick which was hit by Yoachim De Maerschalck. Martin Valckx hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Lucien Gyselincx showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Valckx in the 83rd minute of the match. Martin Valckx scored 3-0 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lucien Gyselincx, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Martin Valckx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 94 minutes into the match, Koekelare MFC's goalkeeper Dany Loremans had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yoachim De Maerschalck.
