Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) De Brugse Klokke FC's Ief Vermeulen started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Ignacio Sanduru sped through De Brugse Klokke FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Anthonio Goossens. 0-2 became the score in the 13th minute when João Francisco Costa elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 16 minutes, Ignacio Sanduru mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VK Valaarhof and the De Brugse Klokke FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jeroen Borglevens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ief Vermeulen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 23 played minutes VK Valaarhof got a freekick which was hit by Norino Andolini. After a defensive mix-up in De Brugse Klokke FC's zone, Bavo Tkint stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anthonio Goossens came out of the goal and Bavo Tkint tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 29th minute Ief Vermeulen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roben Dewolf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the game, Bavo Tkint cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Anthonio Goossens was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Bavo Tkint had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ief Vermeulen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Roben Dewolf made a huge save. Kim Vinx kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. De Brugse Klokke FC's Anthonio Goossens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Francisco Costa in the 45th minute of play. After the first half VK Valaarhof were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ignacio Sanduru made a kick off. After 52 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for VK Valaarhof! The supporters of De Brugse Klokke FC booed when VK Valaarhof was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan De Boel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind VK Valaarhof's goalkeeper Roben Dewolf, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the VK Valaarhof defense, Ief Vermeulen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roben Dewolf. The VK Valaarhof fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roben Dewolf should have stopped the shot. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind VK Valaarhof's goalkeeper Roben Dewolf, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Ercole Milani managed to get in a good position for a shot. De Brugse Klokke FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ercole Milani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roben Dewolf breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Joaquin Geli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the De Brugse Klokke FC defense, Ignacio Sanduru kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anthonio Goossens. The De Brugse Klokke FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anthonio Goossens should have stopped the shot. In the 85th match minute, VK Valaarhof was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rene Deferme to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute, Ief Vermeulen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bavo Tkint sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sammy Vogels kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Roben Dewolf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ief Vermeulen in the 95th minute of play. In the 96th minute, Jeroen Borglevens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 98th minute, Kim Vinx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 98th minute of the match Joaquin Geli sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Roben Dewolf skillfully saved the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see De Brugse Klokke FC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
