Spectators: 8094 (Terracing: 6072, Seating: 1861, VIP seats: 161) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jorre Van de Wal got the match started through his kick off. Zbyszek Kasperowicz made in the 3rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Matt Tael. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jorre Van de Wal in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gaetan Huijbreghts saved Malempre AFC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Malempre AFC's Tony Sielis got a free kick in the 4th minute. 6 minutes into the match, Knokke-Heist's goalkeeper Alonzo Nalo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robbin Imbrechts. In the 9th match minute, Malempre AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cederik Van Den Bosch to maneuver through the defense. Alonzo Nalo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joseph De Vreese, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute, Matt Tael made a precise shot to the right of Gaetan Huijbreghts. Malempre AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. A nice corner shot did that Joseph De Vreese got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alonzo Nalo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 20 minutes into the match, Knokke-Heist's goal looked a bit too open when Joseph De Vreese came free, but Alonzo Nalo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Knokke-Heist's goalkeeper Alonzo Nalo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robbin Imbrechts. In the 22nd match minute, Malempre AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carl Olemans to maneuver through the defense. 25 minutes into the match, Knokke-Heist's goal looked a bit too open when Joseph De Vreese came free, but Alonzo Nalo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gaetan Huijbreghts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jens Van Der Linden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the match, Malempre AFC's Joseph De Vreese sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alonzo Nalo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Knokke-Heist's zone, Joseph De Vreese stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alonzo Nalo came out of the goal and Joseph De Vreese tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Robbin Imbrechts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Alonzo Nalo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Robbin Imbrechts got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Joseph De Vreese sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 56th minute Joseph De Vreese shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alonzo Nalo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matt Tael charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Matt Tael the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Robbin Imbrechts came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Malempre AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robbin Imbrechts couldn't finish the play. Thomas Dhondt's late challenge caught a Malempre AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thomas Dhondt helped the player get up and apologised. After 68 played minutes Knokke-Heist got a freekick which was hit by Thomas Dhondt. Robbin Imbrechts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alonzo Nalo having to interfere. Robbin Imbrechts charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Robbin Imbrechts the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 72nd minute, Robbin Imbrechts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 74th minute of the match, Jorre Van de Wal tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gaetan Huijbreghts saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A nice corner shot did that Sven Lenaerts got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gaetan Huijbreghts quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Knokke-Heist's goalkeeper Alonzo Nalo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Joseph De Vreese sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alonzo Nalo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joseph De Vreese in the 85th minute of play. After 86 minutes, Wilber Sito mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Knokke-Heist and the Malempre AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gaetan Huijbreghts made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Thomas Dhondt sent off a good shot on target. Joseph De Vreese fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alonzo Nalo having to interfere. Joseph De Vreese received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Alonzo Nalo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Malempre AFC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Knokke-Heist to win.
