In the 7th minute Jo Hoolemans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre De Cat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When RSC Mitswege's Glenn De Backer in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Hannutd's goalie prevented a goal. Octave Desmet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glenn De Backer in the 19th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jo Hoolemans in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexandre De Cat prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in RSC Mitswege's zone, Jo Hoolemans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexandre De Cat came out of the goal and Jo Hoolemans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 29thth minute of the game Jo Hoolemans who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but RSC Mitswege's Alexandre De Cat was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wesly Van Der Veecken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre De Cat having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, RSC Mitswege's goal looked a bit too open when Jo Hoolemans came free, but Alexandre De Cat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joery Robijns took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alexandre De Cat. Alexandre De Cat dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Alexandre De Cat stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jo Hoolemans's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. Alexandre De Cat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carl De Potter in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Josef Dams made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Jo Hoolemans made a precise shot to the right of Alexandre De Cat. RSC Mitswege's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Jo Hoolemans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Alexandre De Cat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joery Robijns sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Jo Hoolemans came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the FC Hannutd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jo Hoolemans couldn't finish the play. Glenn De Backer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Josef Dams took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Octave Desmet to make any attempt to save it. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind RSC Mitswege's goalkeeper Alexandre De Cat, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to FC Hannutd getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Steffe Verheecke hit a great ball. Octave Desmet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Glenn De Backer in the 70th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Jo Hoolemans notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of RSC Mitswege's Alexandre De Cat. Alexandre De Cat was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 74 played minutes FC Hannutd got a freekick which was hit by Dany-Adams Van Linthaudt. The audience was convinced that Jo Hoolemans's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alexandre De Cat was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. FC Hannutd's Octave Desmet proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save FC Hannutd from getting a goal against them. Jo Hoolemans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mathieu-Maxim Uyterhelcht took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 85th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Octave Desmet. FC Hannutd's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Josef Dams came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the RSC Mitswege fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Josef Dams couldn't finish the play. In the 90th minute, Henrik Standaerts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Josef Dams fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octave Desmet having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC Hannutd fully deserved thier win.
