Oliver Van Linthaut dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 7th minute, Maria Petrescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Brugge fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Maria Petrescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oliver Van Linthaut came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Brugge's Maria Petrescu. But to his dismay, Maria Petrescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Arnout Naets fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oliver Van Linthaut having to interfere. Kamiel Van Craesbeeck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dany-Adams Van Geertruyden having to interfere. Maria Petrescu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Oliver Van Linthaut having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Aabel Nurmeots's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oliver Van Linthaut was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Galatasaray A.S.'s Oliver Van Linthaut played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maria Petrescu in the 31st minute of play. Oliver Van Linthaut took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maria Petrescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Arnout Naets managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Brugge's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnout Naets was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oliver Van Linthaut breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Oliver Van Linthaut showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maria Petrescu in the 41st minute of the match. After 45 played minutes Galatasaray A.S. got a freekick which was hit by Arnaud De Werdt.

The wind increased when Arnaud De Werdt made the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Arnout Naets mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Brugge and the Galatasaray A.S. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 52 played minutes Club Brugge got a freekick which was hit by Arnout Naets. Maria Petrescu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Oliver Van Linthaut when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 56th minute, Aabel Nurmeots hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Maria Petrescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maria Petrescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oliver Van Linthaut. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maria Petrescu ran back to his position shaking his head. 65 minutes into the game, Maria Petrescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Oliver Van Linthaut was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 69 minutes into the match, Galatasaray A.S.'s goalkeeper Oliver Van Linthaut had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maria Petrescu. Maria Petrescu scored 0-5 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Oliver Van Linthaut, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Oliver Van Linthaut made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Maria Petrescu sent off a good shot on target. Oliver Van Linthaut came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Brugge's Arnout Naets. But to his dismay, Arnout Naets quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Maria Petrescu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 78thth minute, Oliver Van Linthaut skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Christoph De Keijser kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. 84 minutes into the match, Club Brugge's Maria Petrescu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oliver Van Linthaut narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kamiel Van Craesbeeck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dany-Adams Van Geertruyden having to interfere. After 93 played minutes Galatasaray A.S. got a freekick which was hit by Mathieux Hally. Arnaud De Werdt's late challenge caught a Club Brugge's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arnaud De Werdt helped the player get up and apologised. Arnaud De Werdt hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
