An unexpectedly hard shot by Dany Suteweij in the 27th minute of play forced Club Brugge's goalkeeper Dany-Adams Van Geertruyden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 33 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Fc De-Haan Academy! The goalkeeper, Josu Padriña, was totally fooled by Club Brugge's Arnout Naets, who 34 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Josu Padriña made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kristen Huts in the 43rd minute of play. 44 minutes into the game, Club Brugge's Maria Petrescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Josu Padriña made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maria Petrescu to strike the kick off in the second half. Christoph De Keijser struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Josu Padriña didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Brugge. 59 minutes into the match, Fc De-Haan Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Christoph De Keijser came free, but Josu Padriña reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But to his dismay, Maria Petrescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Arthur Huybrechts hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Fc De-Haan Academy's Luka Huijghens got a free kick in the 74th minute. Josu Padriña made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maria Petrescu in the 78th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Arthur Huybrechts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 83rd minute Arnout Naets shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josu Padriña saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Maria Petrescu put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Josu Padriña. Club Brugge walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
