After 45 minutes of play, RSC Mitswege's Glenn De Backer made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Claude Degraef was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half RSC Mitswege were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Josef Dams stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Bjorn Steuckens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Kuurne's Claude Degraef proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save FC Kuurne from getting a goal against them. A collision led to FC Kuurne getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Tibau Standaers hit a great ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 82 minutes into the game, when Jaspar Van Laeck put in a rough tackle. After 81 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Kuurne! When the match had been going on for 84 minutes, RSC Mitswege's Dimitri Blanchaert got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Claude Degraef. Bjorn Steuckens struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Alexandre De Cat didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Kuurne. Bjorn Steuckens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 93 played minutes RSC Mitswege got a freekick which was hit by Timothy De Bougne. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Pieter De Raeijmaeker managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Kuurne's supporters rose to their feet, but Pieter De Raeijmaeker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexandre De Cat breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The FC Kuurne supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching RSC Mitswege's performance. The match ended with a win for RSC Mitswege.
