Spectators: 7972 (Terracing: 6043, Seating: 1775, VIP seats: 154) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Henri-Xavier Van Meerbeek got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, FC Kroeters's Alex Sproten got a free kick in the 5th minute. With a little luck, FC Kroeters's Claude Renotte got control of the ball when Henri-Xavier Van Meerbeek tried to sneak it across the goal line. The ZVC Wellen fans' excitement grew in the 8th match minute when ZVC Wellen's Henri-Xavier Van Meerbeek looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 12th minute Tommi De Bruyn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William Hostens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alan Huybrechts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claude Renotte having to interfere. In the 20th minute, one of FC Kroeters:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Kroeters. In the 27th match minute, ZVC Wellen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rocky Verdonk to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in ZVC Wellen's zone, Nicolas Van Damme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. William Hostens came out of the goal and Nicolas Van Damme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 35th minute, Henri-Xavier Van Meerbeek left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ZVC Wellen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. 41 minutes into the match, Henri-Xavier Van Meerbeek notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of FC Kroeters's Claude Renotte. Claude Renotte was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Henri-Xavier Van Meerbeek in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claude Renotte saved FC Kroeters from getting behind. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alex Sproten to make the kick off. During the 50th minute of the match Georges-Philippe Mampaerts completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Georges-Philippe Mampaerts a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Georges-Philippe Mampaerts hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute, Alan Huybrechts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claude Renotte stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henri-Xavier Van Meerbeek's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. William Hostens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebbe Conincx, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Henri-Xavier Van Meerbeek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claude Renotte having to interfere. Claude Renotte didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Henri-Xavier Van Meerbeek went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Henri-Xavier Van Meerbeek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claude Renotte having to interfere. If Tommi De Bruyn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alex Sproten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. William Hostens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claude Renotte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aaron De Maerschalck in the 92nd minute of the match. ZVC Wellen's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
