ZVC Wellen's William Hostens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timmy Widdepenninck in the 54th minute of play. When Abel de Nijs fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ZVC Wellen's protests and gave Abel de Nijs a yellow card for diving instead. In the 57th match minute, ZVC Wellen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel de Nijs to maneuver through the defense. William Hostens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robbe Smidts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Abel de Nijs was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 61 minutes had been played. William Hostens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robbe Smidts, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. schoten's Jorne Sulem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benne Tuytgans in the 72nd minute of play. Jorne Sulem came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by ZVC Wellen's Benne Tuytgans. But to his dismay, Benne Tuytgans quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. In the 85th minute Henri-Xavier Van Meerbeek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorne Sulem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ZVC Wellen's Henri-Xavier Van Meerbeek got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to schoten getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Jordi Deschrijver hit a great ball. When the match was over ZVC Wellen could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than schoten throughout the match.
