Henri-Xavier Van Meerbeek might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kristof Van Bael. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Henri-Xavier Van Meerbeek ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind ZVC Wellen's goalkeeper William Hostens, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ernest Vandenberge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristof Van Bael having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as ZVC Wellen's Henri-Xavier Van Meerbeek slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kristof Van Bael. That made the score 4-0 after 36 minutes of play. Henri-Xavier Van Meerbeek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Kristof Van Bael tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th match minute, ZVC Wellen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel de Nijs to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bass Helsens to make the kick off. Kristof Van Bael showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alan Huybrechts, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 59 minutes into the game, Henri-Xavier Van Meerbeek cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Kristof Van Bael was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 63 minutes into the match, Purple Talent's goal looked a bit too open when Henri-Xavier Van Meerbeek came free, but Kristof Van Bael reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bass Helsens struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. William Hostens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Purple Talent. In the 77th minute Henri-Xavier Van Meerbeek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristof Van Bael saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henri-Xavier Van Meerbeek blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kristof Van Bael having to make a save. Kristof Van Bael came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by ZVC Wellen's Alan Huybrechts. But to his dismay, Alan Huybrechts quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Purple Talent's goalkeeper Kristof Van Bael, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the referee blew the final whistle, ZVC Wellen could leave the field as winners, despite Purple Talent having more of the ball for most of the match.
