Gao Cheng Yun hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. In the 9th minute, Lions United's Pan Jian Yong ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Timmy Standaerts. Timmy Standaerts yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonas Örnberg during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jonas Örnberg kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the game, Lions United's Pan Jian Yong nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Timmy Standaerts made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. If Pan Jian Yong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Timmy Standaerts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pan Jian Yong in the 17th minute of the match. Timmy Standaerts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pan Jian Yong in the 19th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Lions United's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Godefroid came free, but Steve De Wilde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lions United's Steve De Wilde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantijn Kingsgaard in the 28th minute of play. Timmy Standaerts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pan Jian Yong, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 40th minute, Pan Jian Yong ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Timmy Standaerts was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Pan Jian Yong blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Timmy Standaerts having to make a save. After 47 minutes of play, Lions United's Pierre Van Mechelen made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Timmy Standaerts was left in no man's land by his defense there! No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edgard Godefroid stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in FC Achterheide's zone, Pan Jian Yong stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Timmy Standaerts came out of the goal and Pan Jian Yong tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 56th minute, Vincent Masculier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pierre Van Mechelen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Achterheide's Timmy Standaerts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pan Jian Yong in the 73rd minute of play. FC Achterheide's Norberto Granja was substituted for Jonas Örnberg. FC Achterheide made a substitution. Gregoire Candries replaced Leon Clement.
